Bio

Miguel is a professional with ample experience in different areas, having worked for more than 32 years with the Dole International Fresh Fruit company, where he applied his knowledge in different sectors encouraging innovation and business strategy. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a specialty in Industrial Relations from Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He also graduated from the Upper Management program from INCAE, Costa Rica. As a lawyer he provides his knowledge, experience and leadership to the Foundation in order to help the country.

Miguel was motivated to be a founding member of the Foundation after seeing the need to create an organization that will support distinct and strategic conservation projects in a formal and professional manner. Collaborating in the education of the youth will create another level of awareness regarding the importance of the natural world and the sustainable use of those resources.

Thanks to his commitment to sustainable development it has taken him to become the owner of the Paradise Agriculture Company S.de R.L. which is the site of the private Nature Reserve BioParque Paradise of which he is the manager.

His values have led him to take part in various organizations across the country.
